Safety Instructions
warning
Please read these instructions carefully to ensure the safety of the environment and personnel before starting robot teleoperation.
1. Controlled Operation Area
- Robot Work Area: Install safety fences that meet industrial standards, covering the robot's maximum reach.
- Restricted Access: No one should enter the robot's reachable space during operation to avoid accidental collisions.
2. Teleoperation Safety Procedures
- Beginner Training: First-time users should practice in a simulation environment to familiarize themselves with the mapping between VR devices and robot movements.
- Smooth Operation: Move the VR controllers slowly during practice to avoid sudden or intense movements.
- Device Check: Before each session, ensure the VR headset and controllers have at least 20% battery. Recharge or replace batteries if below this threshold.
- Handling Visual Anomalies: Stop operations immediately if the headset display malfunctions (e.g., flickering or drifting) and recalibrate. Do not proceed with unstable visuals or controller drift.
- Proper Use of VR Controllers: Avoid placing or swinging the VR controllers randomly during operation to prevent disconnection or erratic robot movements.
Correct Usage:
- Wear the VR headset properly with a stable display.
- Hold the VR controllers with both hands, ensuring they remain within the headset's tracking range.
- Calibration Before Syncing: Press and hold the controller calibration button to align visuals before starting teleoperation.
- Stability During Syncing: Do not move around or recalibrate during teleoperation syncing. Stop the operation first if adjustments are needed.
3. Safety Personnel and Emergency Response
- Emergency Plan: Assign a safety officer during teleoperation, ready to press the robot's emergency stop button if needed.
- No Collision Protection: This system does not provide collision feedback or protection. Users must ensure the robot avoids unintended collisions with people or the environment.
